This course is aimed at learners who wish to gain the knowledge and skills to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This course compliments an Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work courses as an additional qualification.

This course can be added on as a bolt on to any day of the above course for half the advertised price.

This very practical course will enable your learners to use the AED competently, safely and with confidence.

What will you learn?

The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with a person having a heart attack or cardiac arrest.  It meets the recommendations from the Health and Safety Executive ( HSE), covering the provision and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in the workplace.
It conforms to the recommendations from the UK Resuscitation Council, and is approved by Qualsafe Awards for the use of an AED both within the workplace, and out in the community. It is suitable for first aiders, and any other members of the general public who may come into contact with people suffering a heart attack or cardiac arrest.

AED workbooks can be purchased at £3.00 per book

Course Duration

4 hours including breaks.


Upon completion of the course we will issue you with a certificate from Qualsafe Awards who are our regulatory body. This certificate is valid for one year.
